Our group was very productive today. We looked up obesity in America & the causes of it. Found out some crazy statistics! Btw Lauren you owe our group for not showing up *smh

We researched alot. We found evidence that supports a lot of our arguement. Just non stop research. Was going to switch topics, but found more evidence like the Vietnam War and Persian Gulf War.

Cris-ann is doing section 1, 2 and 3. Veronica is doing sections 4 and 5. Athena is doing sections 6 and 7. Zulema is doing sections 8 and 9. Since Cris-ann has the hardest sections, Athena, Veronica and Zulema are doing the power point. I think we are on track (:

Today we worked on organizing our section for our bill. We divided up the sections to distribute the work from information and being able to work together as a group for equal distribution so everyone is working on something and no one is singled out from the working process. this weekend we have worked out a plan of all of us sending each other emails on the sections we have done so we all can give advice and see if it needs improvement. yet since we have figured this out today we will all be working hard on lowering our name of our bill to something more simple and easy to role off the tongue.

Today, we established who will do what in terms of work over the weekend. We divided the sections of the writen bill to certain people. We also planned our power point presentation. We plan to make a video.

Good: The government does its best to protect its citizens from any harm, and is open to opinions on if any laws or policies need to be changed.

Bad: The government tends to tax everyone a lot, even if many are struggling to make a living. They also are taking away money from important things, such as schools which help build the people of our future. Some of us Americans aren't even sure if we can trust the government that they are using our tax money for the right things.

Our government outlines the foundation of our country. It has it's good side, but it also has it's bad side too.
The good thing about the government is that it allows us to have rights, unlike some unfortunate coutries. Also, we are a democracy, meaning we the people have a voice. And the list goes on. With qualities like these, our government is already better than other countries'.
But the down side of our government is that it is leading our ecnonomy down the drain, causing musch distress to the people. Job loss, budget cuts, and lack of money is hurting everyone, THANKS TO OUR GOVERNMENT.

The Good and Bad of Gvernment

Government is the homeostasis of society; it regulates all of us as citizens of the state. It provides us with defense, liberties, and necessities that in countries would be considered luxuries. However, it is not singular being; it is made of many individuals: mayors, leaders, senate members, and so on. Each individual are subject to corruption and human errors for we as a species are not perfect morally. There are some that use their governmental powers for the people, while others use it for their own benefits. Plus, within the government, there are parts of it would be considered "conservative" and restricts us as citizens to express ourselves and live out our lives. Prop 8 would be a simple example. The 1970 Watergate scandal demonstrated the desperate measures people were willing to take to be in the Presidential office of America.

Okay. Now to the good stuff.

The government makes sure that everyone has plenty, that no sector within the infrastructure that maintains our welfare is ever weak. It provides domestic security so we as citizens can be safe and it allows us to express our discontent whenever the government is about to screw up big time. So basically citizen and government would be considered to be part of a love-hate relationship.

I have bad grammar in this post. Deal with it. :P
